Our story
an old print works, reborn.
Tom Hadley opened Sprywell in 2019 in a former print works on Larkspur Yard, after years of coaching in big gyms where classes ran to forty people and nobody had time to fix a squat.
The idea was simple: a handful of classes done properly, early enough for commuters and late enough for parents, each one run by the same coach every week. Rosa, Kezia and Dan joined as the timetable grew to 29 sessions.
The desk takes payment for drop-ins, passes, memberships and pair coaching, and there is a kettle on in the corner.
How we run classes
three house rules.
Same coach, same slot
Each class keeps its coach week to week, so the 6:45am Strength Circuit on Monday and Wednesday is always Tom’s.
Coached, not shouted
Coaches demonstrate, then walk the room and correct form one person at a time.
Level cards
Levels 1 to 3 for every move, so friends of different fitness can train side by side.

what members tell us.
Sample reviews from fictional members.
“I hadn’t set foot in a gym for years and nearly cancelled. Rosa started me on level 1 of every stretch without making a thing of it, and I’ve been back every Tuesday since.”
“The 6:45 circuit finishes in time for my train. Tom keeps a note of what I lifted last time, which is more than I ever did.”
“A proper workout with no egos in the room. My sister and I tried one on a whim, and now Thursday night is Boxfit night.”
“Thirty-five minutes of hard work on a Wednesday, and Dan actually looks round the room and fixes my riding position.”
your first week is £12.
